School of Engineering Professor of Teaching Innovation
Professor Gareth McKinley, working with colleagues at the Pontificial University of Chile, are harvesting potable water from the coastal fog that forms along one of the driest regions on earth.
A team of researchers including Professor Gareth McKinley have found how to produce uniformly spaced bubbles in liquid. The findings could have implications for the development of microfluidic devices.
A method developed by Professor Gareth McKinley utilizes an echolocation-technique to quickly characterize any soft, rapidly changing substance, such as clotting blood or drying cement.
